TWLOHA stands for “To Write Love On Her Arms.”

It all started with one girl, Renee. A teenager in the depths of despair, struggling with addiction, depression, and cutting. She decided to tell her story. Her story is dramatic, compelling, and motivational. It started a movement. The movement is love. The movement proves that love can change a life.

Here’s an excerpt from the story…

Renee is 19. When I meet her, cocaine is fresh in her system. She hasn’t slept in 36 hours and she won’t for another 24. It is a familiar blur of coke, pot, pills and alcohol. She has agreed to meet us, to listen and to let us pray. We ask Renee to come with us, to leave this broken night. She says she’ll go to rehab tomorrow, but she isn’t ready now. It is too great a change. We pray and say goodbye and it is hard to leave without her.

In the intro video below, Renee tells her story. It’s captivating. Be forewarned… its not for purists who want to hide the reality of the struggles that some people face. Enough of that, someone using the F word isn’t the point. The point is however pretty clearly articulated in the vid below.

Be Moved. Be Motivated. Love <3

  1. Jamie was at Q with us in April. Great example of using what we have to accomplish God’s work where he needs us.

  2. Yea, just to clarify, Renee’s story was written by Jamie Tworkowski.
