Entertainment budgets and gas prices….
Manuela (my wife) is great at finding shortcuts. Lately, she’s made a pretty amazing discovery.
We, like most people, enjoy going out for a nice dinner every once in a while, hitting up a movie, or just grabbing a snack from Dale and Thomas Popcorn.
With escalating prices everywhere, it’s getting difficult to fit some of those luxury items into the monthly entertainment budget. The other day, Manuela gets on Ebay, starts searching restaurants, coupons & gift certificates… and exponentially increased the value our monthly entertainment budget. We got a $20 gift certificate to Dale and Thomas Popcorn for less than $10. We got 20 combo meal fast food coupons for $1 each (like we need that). Movie gift certificates, quality restaurants in the area, and some great outings pretty much tripled how far our entertainment budget goes.
Unfortunately, we have yet to find discount coupons or gift certificates for gas.

Did you guys get the “free tall cup of coffee every Wednesday” card from Starbucks? They had it in the paper a while back. I think it only runs through the end of May, though. Sad.
