Olympic Spirit

The Olympics move me. The first time I was completely drawn in by the allure of the Olympics was as a middle school student in 1984. I was completely gripped by what I was witnessing. There’s a few things that I automatically think of when I think of the games and the athletes that participate.

1. The Commitment
2. The Sacrifice
3. The Focus
4. The Determination
5. The Accomplishment

I’ve embedded a video of two people that are never going to make it to the Olympics. The Spirit of the Olympics lives strong within them despite them not being there.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness”

Paul

The Olympics aren’t always about the Gold Medal… They’re about a dream that lives in the heart of the individual.
