A real hero, Randy Pausch dies at 47.

A few months ago, while browsing youtube, I was captivated by a video called “The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch. I watched the entire lecture. Randy was a computer science prof at Carnegie Melon University. He gave his last lecture knowing that he had 3 – 6 months to live. In just over an hour, he gives the lecture of his life. It’s become an inspiration to many around the world. It became an inspiration to me… take the time, and watch to the end. It will be time well spent.

I have his book at home, but haven’t read it yet. I’ll try to watch this one of these days.

I first saw Randy Pausch when Diane Sawyer interviewed him on GMA. His story captivated me, and his death has touched me deeply.

I have lost many friends and family to cancer and other devastating ailments and I have never witnessed such courage.
