A gift from Iraq for Memorial Weekend

by David on May 24, 2009

One of the privileges I have of being an Internet Pastor, is getting to meet several of our soldiers over in Iraq. SGT Thomas Trent is one of them. He recently sent me a flag that was flown over COB Adder in Iraq. He also sent one for Pastor Tom, John C. Maxwell, and one for Christ Fellowship. We will be flying these flags in our sanctuary at Gardens and Royal Palm Campus. Here’s the video of the Flag Ceremony at Christ Fellowship this Memorial Weekend.

What an incredible honor. Shed a lot of tears today at Christ Fellowship online. AWE-mazing service. Thank you Pastor David, I am so grateful for God in you and how you excellently go about His business!

Wow! Even though I no longer share the same beliefs with you, David, this brought tears to my eyes. I am so glad to see that the troops are being supported, from people on both sides of the war debate. Thankfully we have learned that these men and women deserve our honour and support, despite our views on the war… It is about the mean and women putting their lives on the line, and not policies!
